Questions people actually ask us
If something's still unclear after this, the fastest way to reach us is at the bottom of this page.
The reports
Do I need to buy the reports in order — Spark, then Signal, then Compass, then Focus?
No. Each report is priced and sold independently, and you can start at whichever one matches your child's current grade. They're timed to different stages, not a required sequence.
Which report should I start with?
Whichever matches your child's current grade: Spark for Grades 1–5, Signal for 6–8, Compass for Grade 9, Focus for 10–12. See all four side by side →
Is this the same as a career counsellor?
No. StreamWise doesn't provide counselling, diagnosis, or individualised advice, and no human reviews your specific result. It's an informational reading based on published psychometric frameworks — a starting point for your own judgment, not a replacement for it.
What if I don't agree with my report's result?
That's a completely reasonable reaction — a report is one input, not a verdict. Every report shows its scoring transparently (you can see exactly how each score was calculated), so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give it alongside everything else you know about your child.
Can the student answer the questions themselves?
For Spark (Grade 1–5), a parent or teacher answers based on observed behaviour, since young children can't reliably self-report interests. From Signal onward (Grade 6+), the student answers directly. In every case, a parent or guardian remains the account holder and purchaser.
The science
What frameworks are these reports actually based on?
RIASEC (Holland, 1959), Gardner's Multiple Intelligences (1983), and the Big Five personality model — all public-domain, peer-reviewed, decades-old frameworks, not a proprietary test. See what each one measures →
Are these "real" psychological instruments, or a marketing quiz?
The theories are real and widely used in academic and organisational settings. We write our own questions based on the published theory (rather than licensing anyone's proprietary item set), and every score is a transparent point-count you can verify yourself — nothing is a black box.
Radar
Is Radar included when I buy a report?
No — Radar is a separate product (₹599/year), sold on its own. It pairs well with any report, but it's not bundled with any of them.
How current is the exam and scholarship information?
The dataset is sourced from official notifications and updated monthly. Dates and fees can still change without notice on the conducting body's end — always verify final details on their own site before registering or paying. See Radar →
Payment, privacy & refunds
Can I get a refund if I change my mind?
Reports and Radar access are digital and delivered instantly, so purchases are generally non-refundable once delivered — with exceptions for technical failures or duplicate charges. Full refund policy →
What information do you actually collect about my child?
Very little, by design: your email (as the account identifier) and your child's first name (used only to personalise the report file itself — never stored as a separate record). No tracking, no advertising, no profile-building. Full privacy policy →
